2019 AEC Annual Reliability Workshop: The Twenty-First Annual Automotive Electronics Reliability Workshop will be held April 30 - May 2, 2019 at the Sheraton Detroit Novi Hotel located in Novi, Michigan, USA. There is NO REGISTRATION FEE to attend the workshop.  Travel and lodging fees are the responsibility of the participant.  Participants must register with the hotel before Tuesday, April 9, 2019 to ensure that the AEC Reliability Workshop block room rate is available.


The AEC negotiated a minimum hotel room commitment to minimize room rates and meeting expenses.  In order to remain a free Workshop event for attendees, the AEC must meet the sleeping room commitment.  Please use the Sheraton Detroit Novi Hotel when making your room reservation, and clearly state that you are attending the 2019 AEC Reliability Workshop.

Reservations can also be made by phone at 248-349-4000 or 866-837-4180.  Be sure to request a room from the block reserved under the meeting "2019 Automotic Electronics Reliability Workshop".  The room rate for the block is $162 per night.  Room block rates will be accepted until the Monday, April 9, 2019 cut-off date.  Reservation requests received after 5:00 pm (EST) on Monday, April 9, 2019 will be accepted at the prevailing rate.




2018 European AEC Annual Reliability Workshop: The First European Automotive Electronics Reliability Workshop was held October 16-17, 2018 at the Sheraton Munich Westpark Hotel located in Munich, Germany. 107 attendees representing 48 automotive electronics Tier-1 user and Tier-2 supplier companies and 5 European OEM companies attended this inaugural event. The Technical program included 4 invited presentations from the 2018 AEC Workshop held earlier in the year, 3 invited OEM presentations, and 11 submitted presentations on various topics impacting automotive electronics components. Similar to the US Workshop format, the European Workshop also included 5 Open Forum Panel Discussions where moderators and attendees shared discussion on the various AEC documents and proposed areas for future specification development and improvement.

2018 European AEC Reliability Workshop Presentations


2018 AEC Annual Reliability Workshop: The 20th Annual Automotive Electronics Reliability Workshop was held April 24-25, 2018 at the Sheraton Detroit Novi Hotel located in Novi, Michigan, USA. Over 230 people representing 121 global automotive electronics user and supplier communities attended the AEC workshop. A large cross-section of the user and supplier community made 20 presentations on methodologies for improving the quality & reliability of Integrated Circuits, Discrete Semiconductors, and Passive Components. The 2018 Workshop also included seven Open Forum Panel Discussions where industry experts reviewed the current status and future direction of AEC Technical Committee activities, providing attendees an opportunity to share their experiences and expertise. Open Forum topics included LED Qualification, Microphone MEMS Qualification, and a revision status overview of the AEC Q-Specifications. The goal of the Automotive Electronics Council is the development of uniform automotive industry specifications and requirements to improve automotive product quality and reliability while reducing cost and time to market. The purpose of the workshop is to continuously improve communications between automotive electronic component users and their supplier base.
