2025 European AEC Annual Reliability
Workshop: The
Fourth European Automotive Electronics Reliability Workshop was held at Palais
de la Bourse in Bordeaux (France) on October 8 and 9, 2025. Over 80 people
attended and 15 technical presentations were given in addition to 10 updates on
active AEC work groups. Please refer to the link below to download and review

2025 AEC Annual Reliability Workshop: The Twenty-Third Annual Automotive
Electronics Reliability Workshop was held April 8-10, 2025
at the Sheraton Detroit Novi Hotel located in Novi, Michigan, USA. Despite some
travel restrictions, approximately 115 people attended, including but not
limited to, Tier 1s, Component Manufacturers, Associates from Test and
Reliability services, Military and Aerospace, and OEMs. Technical Sessions were
excellent and included topics such as Al, Mission Profiles and Board Level
Reliability. Updates from the conference were provided for the AEC Task Groups,
including the fairly new Wide Band Gap and a Case Example
from the Zero Defects Case Study Workbook for AEC Q004. 14 technical sessions
were held, and 6 Task Group updates were made. Interactive discussions about technical
topics and updates in the status of the AEC were helpful and well received with
a very broad participation level.

2024 AEC Annual Reliability Workshop: The Twenty-Second Annual Automotive
Electronics Reliability Workshop was held April 23-25, 2024
at the Sheraton Detroit Novi Hotel located in Novi, Michigan, USA. Over 200
people representing 100 global automotive electronics user
and supplier communities attended the AEC Workshop. A large cross-section of
user and supplier community made 20 presentations on methodologies for
improving the quality & reliability of Integrated Circuits, Discrete
Semiconductors, and Passive Components. The 2024 Workshop also included 11 Open
Forum Panel Discussions where industry experts reviewed the current
status and future direction of AEC Technical Committee activities,
providing attendees an opportunity to share their experiences and expertise.
Open Forum topics included Wide Band Gap Technology Qualification, Extended
Mission Profiles, Zero Defects Guidelines, and a revision status overview of
the AEC Q-Specifications. The goal of the Automotive Electronics Council is the
development of uniform automotive industry specifications and requirements to
improve automotive product quality and reliability while reducing cost and time
to market. The purpose of the AEC Workshop is to continuously improve
communications between automotive electronic component users and their supplier
base. Check out the technical session presentations below

2023 European AEC Annual Reliability
Workshop: The
Third European Automotive Electronics Reliability Workshop was held October
4-57 2023 at the Diagora
Congress Center located in Toulouse, France. This Workshop was organized for
the first time in parallel with the 34th ESREF (European Symposium on
Reliability of Electronic Devices, Failure Physics and Analysis) international
symposium. 125 participants representing automotive electronics Tier-I users,
Tier-2 suppliers, and several European OEM companies attended the 2-day event
There were 4 technical sessions with a total of 11 presentations covering
topics such as Mission Profiles, Zero Defects Techniques, Wide Band Gap
Devices, and Board Level Reliability. In addition, there were 11 open panel
forum discussions around the various AEC standards.
